Amarillo Sod Poodles at Frisco
The Amarillo Sod Poodles are in town for a six-game series against the Frisco RoughRiders. This Frisco team has recently shipped off a few players to Round Rock. It was a well-deserved promotion for pitchers AJ Alexy, Cole Uvila, Nick Snyder, Yerry Rodriguez and for infielder Sherten Apostel.
New Players on the Roster
We knew more moves were coming when those players promoted. So now the Amarillo pitching staff will have to figure out how to deal with hot-hitting Blaine Crim. Chase Lee, whom the Rangers just drafted is now in Frisco after making an appearance in Arizona ( 1 IP, 1 H, 3 SO). Also Tai Tiedemann has promoted to Frisco. Yes, there are still more promotions expected. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Justin Foscue and Josh Smith be called to Frisco soon the way are hitting the baseballs.
This week brings back to school week with the RoughRiders. The RoughRiders will be giving away an item to kids 12 and under on the Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday game.

Promotions
Tuesday (tonight): as usual is Eric Nadel’s Tuesday tunes and it will feature Prophets and Outlaws.
Wednesday: Weiner Wednesday, my favorite day during the week to watch baseball. It’s mid-week and from 6-8PM you can get full on $2 hot dogs. Other than the sunset at Riders Field, there’s nothing better.
Thursday: is Thirsty Thursday along with #FreeBritney night (they’ll have a t-shirt giveaway) and Truly party at the yard, where you can get drink specials in the behind the outfield.
Friday: come for the baseball and Whataburger night, where they will have Whataburger themes along with another t-shirt giveaway. Stay for the post-game fireworks.
Saturday: State Fair night which will feature Fletcher Corn Dogs, a t-shirt giveaway and the team will wear the Corny dog jerseys. There will be post-game fireworks.
Sunday is for the kids. They’ll have kid friendly themes and kids can run the bases after the game.
