The 2022 Frisco Classic will start on Friday March 4th and go to Sunday March 6th and will feature four teams.
The 2022 Frisco Classic will be played at Riders Field, formerly known as Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas. The Classic has been played at Riders Field since 2017 and it is run by Peak Events LLC. You might see the hashtag #BestOutsideOfOmaha being used when this event is mentioned.
We’ve covered the Frisco College Baseball Classic each of the last two years. It has not disappointed at all and comes just at the right time as baseball fans are having major withdrawals.
We have seen teams such as powerhouse UCLA Bruins who dominated in 2020 with players like Garrett Mitchell and Matt McLain who have since been drafted. We’ve also seen Asa Lacy with Texas A&M.
Just like previous Classics, there will be four teams participating.

Texas A&M Aggies: finished 2021 with a 29-27 record.
Washington State Cougars: finished 2021 with a 26-23 record.
Wichita State Schokers: finished 2021 with a 31-23 record.
