Round Rock infielder Ryan Dorow was named Pacific Coast league Player of the week for May 2-8. Ryan is the first Express player to win Player of the week this season. Dorow, 26, was selected by the Rangers in the 30th round (pick 914 overall) in 2017 from Adrian College. In 6 games (22 at bats) he had 10 hits, 2 doubles, 1 triple, 9 RBI. This week a few Texas Rangers Minor Leaguers were named player of the week. One of those players is in Low A with the Down East Wood Ducks. That would be Yosy Galan. Cody Freeman named player of the week

Texas Rangers prospect, Cody Freeman has been named player of the week in the South Atlantic League. Freeman, 21, was the Rangers 4th round pick in 2019 from Etiwanda High School. He is a versatile infielder playing Catcher, Third base and 2nd base. For the week he hit for a .429 average,  with 6 hits, 3 home runs, 10 RBI and 1 stolen base. That's an excellent week. So far this season Freeman has slashed a line of .243/.325/.457/.782 with 5 home runs and 19 RBI.

Jack Leiter earned his 1st win of the season after pitching a season-high six innings. The RoughRiders pitching staff put together a complete game shutout for the first time this season as the RoughRiders win 5-0 and move to 16-10. The RoughRiders moved to 15-10 after their 6-2 loss to the Arkansas Travelers (Mariners). Left-hander Cody Bradford took the mound for the RoughRiders, making his 5th start of the season. The RoughRiders are back home currently, playing a six-game series against the Arkansas Travelers (Mariners). Right-hander Zak Kent toed the rubber for the RoughRiders. The RoughRiders won 6-5 in the series finale on Sunday against the Midland RockHounds. They won the series 4-2 and move to 14-7 on the season with the best record in the Texas League.
