Left-hander James Jones, 31, was brought back on a minor league contract with an invite to spring training. Jones used to play center field for the Seattle Mariners in 2014 and 2015. In 2019 he had a solid year in Frisco with a 2.56 ERA in 56.1 innings pitched with a 1.189 WHIP. He was promoted to Triple -A Nashville and in limited innings (7.2) had a 3.52 ERA. I saw Jones pitch in Frisco and there were times where I was impressed by what I saw.

Luis Garcia (RHP)

Garcia is a right-handed pitcher who has major-league experience. He will be 33 at the end if the month and played for the Angels in 2019 and had a 4.35 ERA in 62 innings. In the previous 6 years Garcia had pitched for the Philadelphia Phillies with a 4.12 ERA. As far as earned run average goes, his best year was in 2017 when he had a 2.65 ERA in 71.1 innings.

Yadiel Rivera (INF)

Rivera, 27, was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 9th round of the 2010 draft from Manuela Toro High School in Puerto Rico. He made his Debut with the Brew Crew in 2015 on September 22, 2015 where he went 0-2 against the Cubs. Since his Debut he has played in the Majors every season.

The Rangers are the 3rd team for Rivera. His playing career included the Marlins the last 2 years. With the Brewers he had a career line of .183/.202/.234 and with the Marlins .176/.265/.216. He’s been invited to spring training as well.

Jimmy Herget (RHP)

Herget, 26, is a right-handed pitcher who made his Major League debut on July 7 for the Cincinnati Reds. For the year, he pitched 6.1 innings with a 4.26 ERA and a high WHIP of 1.737.
