The 2022 Arizona Fall League Championship game was a thriller that went into extra innings and the Surprise Saguaros came out on top. They won by a final of 7-6 in 11 innings over the Desert Dogs.

This was the Saguaros third championdhip but first since 2013 when they faced the Mesa Solar Sox and won in shutout fashion by a final of 2-0. They also won in 1995 when they were known as the Mesa Saguaros.

The Rangers had 9 players in total that were on the Surprise Saguaros team but four played in the Championship game. They each played a role in the win.

Jayce Easley went 1-for-6 with 2 RBI and 4 SO. His hit was a double to center that the centerfielder should have had but nonetheless 2 runs scored.

Luisangel Acuña, who is likely to be added to the Rangers 40-man roster, made an exception defensive play and threw to home for the out and saved a run. He finished 1-for-5, with an RBI and 2 SO.

Trevor Hauver went 1-for-3 with 2 walks and 2 SO. He had an Outfield assist.

Grant Wolfram pitched a scoreless inning out of the pen: 1ip, 1h, 1bb, 18/9 strikes.
