Around the Farm: Rangers farm updates April 8, 2019
Welcome to the Around the Farm. This will highlight some of the game performances on April 8th around the Rangers farm. Let’s start with the RoughRiders.
Frisco RoughRiders (3-1)
You may have heard that the Frisco RoughRiders placed Opening Day starter, Brock Burke on the 7-day IL.
They added RHP Edgar Arredondo who pitched 6.1 innings, allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, 2 walks and 4 SO. His ERA is 2.84.

Local product, Preston Beck knocked 2 baseballs out of the park yesterday. He was 3-2 with a home run and 3 RBI, 2 runs and a walk. His AVG is .368.

Charles Leblanc went 3-5 with 3 RBI and his average is .438.
Andretty Cordero went 3-4 with 2 RBI and 1 walk. His average is .313.
Michael De Leon went 3-4 with 2 runs. His average is now .429.

Tony Sanchez was 1-4 .400 AVG
Juremi Profar 1-4, 1 run, 1 BB, 1 SO, .125 AVG
Eliezer Alvarez 1-5, 1 run, 2 SO, 1 SB .200 AVG
LeDarius Clark had a Fielding error.
It’s amazing what a good game can do to the batting average, especially so early in the season.
Nashville Sounds (1-4)
The Sounds lost 6-5 to the Iowa Cubs.
Right-handed pitcher, Phillips Valdez got the start for the Sounds and pitched 3 innings. Two unearned runs scored, thanks to his throwing error. He allowed 2 Hits and struck out 5 and threw 49 pitches, 33 for strikes.
CD Pelham, LHP,?pitched 2 innings in relief and allowed 1 run on hit 1 hit, 1 BB and had a strikeout as well. His ERA is an even 3.
Guerrieri took the loss as he allowed 3 runs on 4 hits in 1.2 innings.
Brady Feigl, LHP, pitched 2.1 scoreless only giving up 1 hit and struck out 4.
Eli White went 1-3, 1 run, 1 BB, 1 SO, .375 AVG
Andy Ib??ez had a day, going 3-4 with an RBI, 1 run, 1 BB, 1 SO, .750 AVG
Willie Calhoun went 2-5 with a run and 1 SO, .235 AVG
Matt Davidson went 2-5 with a run and 3 SO, .250 AVG
Danny Santana went 2-4 with 2 RBI, .400 AVG
Jose Trevino went 1-4 with a run, 1 BB and a SO. He is only hitting .118.
Down East Wood Ducks (3-2)
The Wood Ducks won this game by a final of 12-4 as the line-up just exploded. They scored runs in multiple innings but scored 6 runs in the bottom of the 4th.
Noah Bremer, RHP, started and pitched 4.2 innings. He allowed 4 runs on 4 hits, walked 1 and struck out 5. His ERA is 7.71.
Alex Eubanks, RHP, pitched 2.1 scoreless innings and got the win. He allowed 2 hits, walked 1 and struck out 3. His ERA is now 8.31.
Peter Fairbanks and Emmanuel Clase both pitched scoreless innings.
Everyone in the line-up had at least 1 hit. I won’t list everyone but here are some notable ones.
Eric Jenkins went 2-5 with 1 RBI, 2 SO, .263 AVG
Bubba Thompson went 1-5, .158 AVG
Leody Taveras went 1-4 with 2 runs, 1 BB, 1 SO. He is hitting .500
Anderson Tejeda went 2-4 with a run, 1 walk and 2 SO. He is hitting .333.
Hickory Crawdads
The game was postponed and they are playing a double header today.
